A Spiritual Mass (Misa) is a practice based in some traditions such as Espiritismo consisting of a group of people meeting together to connect with their “spiritual guides”("court") and ancestors. Essentially, it is a Seance with a mixture of European mysticism and African practices. The purposes are for cleansing, developing mediumship and intuitive skills. It also supports the evolution of the spirits connected to each person in attendance. Within traditional, Isese, practices of Ifa, a person's spiritual court is referred to as their "Egbe". For various reasons, people may need a personalized spiritual court/egbe investigation headed by an Experienced Spiritualist to relieve them from troubling problems. Often when these energies are not appeased or unidentified they can cause life long reoccurring hardships.
